👩🏫 How does a lesson with you work?
My lessons are individual, online, and completely personalized.
I use conversation as a foundation, but each path is different —adapted to you, your goals, and your way of learning.
📊 What level of Italian do I need to start?
II mainly work with intermediate and advanced students (from A2) who want to improve the structure of their Italian, develop naturalness, and deepen their connection with the language. If you’re a beginner, write to me: we can evaluate together if this is the right moment.
📌 Do I need to book a trial lesson?
Yes! The free trial lesson lasts about 30 minutes or more. It’s useful to see if there’s a good fit between us—if I’m the right teacher for you, and you’re the right student for me. From there, we’ll decide together how to proceed.
🇬🇧 Do you also teach grammar?
Of course! Grammar is part of the language—a tool, not a starting point. It's a set of rules that helps you better understand the language you're learning. I use it when needed, in the right context, with concrete and practical examples.
Additionally, if your background allows, we typically leverage differences and similarities with languages you already know.
Lessons - DOGME Approach
IHow is a DOGME lesson structured?

Warm-up: free conversation or initial prompt (a word, a question, a photo, a simple “How are you?”)

Discovery: new vocabulary, grammar, expressions emerge naturally

Focus: we analyze some elements together (with explanations and personalized examples)

Practice: role plays, creative exercises, short writings, authentic tasks based on your vocabulary

Follow-up: what do you take home from the lesson? What do you want to deepen? How are you feeling?
In my lessons, I use the DOGME approach, adapted to Italian and to your goals!
This means we don’t start from a book, but from conversation, real life, and what happens in the moment.
Your words, doubts, and emotions become the starting point.
We work on grammar and vocabulary from our conversation, not the other way around.
Authentic materials (videos, articles, podcasts) or even your own emails, voice notes, or memories become learning tools.
My role is to guide you: I’ll help you build your Italian, step by step, with confidence and independence.
A bit of history
The DOGME ELT approach was born in 2000 thanks to Scott Thornbury, who wanted to renew language teaching (in his case, English) by focusing on conversation, spontaneity, and real context.
The name is inspired by the DOGME 95 film movement, founded by Danish directors Thomas Vinterberg and Lars von Trier, who wanted to strip away special effects and bring the focus back to story and essence.
In the same way, DOGME in language teaching removes the “extra” and puts the student, the relationship, and the living language back at the center.

If you’re preparing for a certification exam (like CILS or CELI), I can guide you through a structured but human approach, so that you feel ready, confident, and natural in your Italian.
